
After Georgia, my journey continues to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. For me, I’ve heard about Baku when the city hosted the Formula 1 race a few years back. Also, Baku hosted a Europa League in 2019 where Arsenal become the finalist but then lost to Chelsea. That’s where I heard Baku. But, Baku is so much more than just a sports event. Once you landed on the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, you will understand why this city is developing rapidly (thanks to the oil money, of course). You can see how futuristic Baku is from their modern architecture, but somehow their traditional value is still very viscous.
